Injectables

Six families, each with a different job — relaxing, filling, stimulating, feeding, repairing, undoing. All physician-led, and all governed by the same rule: the smallest honest amount.

What injectables are for

Movement lines. Lost volume. Skin that has thinned, dulled, or softened. Each of these belongs to a different family — which is why the diagnosis matters more than the syringe.

How we think about them

Most consultations start with a product name. Ours start with what you see in the mirror — because the honest answer is often a different family than the one you arrived asking for, and sometimes a smaller one.

Every plan favours the reversible over the permanent, the gradual over the dramatic, and the version of your face that still looks like you.

The six families

  • Neuromodulators

    3–4 months

Relax a muscle — soften movement lines, reduce sweating, slim a jaw

Botulinum toxin temporarily quiets the signal between nerve and muscle, so the muscle relaxes and the line it kept folding softens. It affects only movement, only in the muscle treated, and it wears off on its own over three to four months. It does nothing for lost volume — that's a different family.

  • Hyaluronic-acid fillers

    6–18 months

Add volume and structure — lips, cheeks, chin, jaw, deep folds

Gels of hyaluronic acid — a water-binding molecule your body already makes — placed where structure has been lost. The change usually shows straight away, with some swelling for a few days; it fades gradually over six to eighteen months depending on the gel and the area, and, unlike other filler families, it can be dissolved if you change your mind.

  • Biostimulators

    around 2 years

Trigger your own collagen — gradual, natural firmness

Tiny biodegradable particles that provoke your skin into building its own collagen over two to three months. Nothing dramatic shows on day one — the change arrives slowly and reads as firmness, not filling. Unlike hyaluronic acid, they cannot simply be dissolved, which is why candidacy and technique are the physician's call, made carefully.

  • Skin boosters

a short course, then ~6 months

Hydrate and feed the skin — glow, texture, fine crepiness

Un-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with nutrients, placed as many shallow micro-injections to water and feed the skin itself. Quality rather than volume: glow, smoothness, elasticity. Usually a short course of two or three sessions, refreshed roughly every six months.

  • Regeneratives

    a course, plus upkeep

Signal the skin to repair and rebuild — thin skin, under-eyes, hair

Polynucleotides, platelet-rich plasma and related treatments that signal your own cells to repair — calming inflammation, waking collagen, improving quality in skin too thin or delicate for filler, often under the eyes. Results build over a course and are honest rather than instant.

  • Correctors

    used on demand

Dissolve or remodel — undo filler, soften lumps

The undo kit. Enzymes that dissolve unwanted or migrated hyaluronic-acid filler within a day or two, and soften hardened tissue. Nobody requests this family — but no filler work starts here without it on the shelf.

Safety, plainly

The most serious risk with any filler is rare but real: gel placed into, or pressing on, a blood vessel. The answer to it is an enzyme that starts dissolving hyaluronic acid within minutes — which is why it is always on our shelf, and why we believe no clinic should inject fillers without it.

It’s also why injector skill is not a luxury. A physician leads every injectable plan here, from the first conversation to the follow-up.

Our take

The overdone face is rarely one bold treatment — it is many small ones, added without a plan. Restraint is the entire craft.

When a smaller dose will do, that’s what we’ll suggest. When the honest answer is a different family, or nothing yet, we’ll say that too — because the face you arrived with is the one worth protecting.

Questions people ask

Where can I get injectables in Dubai, and how do I choose a clinic and a doctor?

Here at CREAMÉ, at 350 Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah 1, a physician leads every injectable plan, from the first conversation to the follow-up; anti-wrinkle injections are Dr. Olga Ibrakova's focus, and lips and facial contouring are Dr. Daria Banina's. Wherever you go, choose a licensed doctor who examines you before anything is decided, explains which family they would use and whether it can be dissolved, keeps the enzyme that dissolves filler on hand, and tells you when less, or nothing, is the honest answer.

Can injectables and laser or energy treatments be combined in one plan?

Yes. Our Aesthetic Clinic offers injectables alongside laser, light and energy treatments such as MOXI, BBL HEROic and Ultraformer MPT, and the doctors who inject also use several of these devices, so one plan can combine them; after recent injections, device sessions are simply planned a little apart, in an order the doctor sets.

What side effects and risks can injectables have?

Usually mild and short-lived: redness, swelling, tenderness and small bruises, mostly settling within one to two weeks. After anti-wrinkle injections a headache for a day or two is not unusual, and less often a brow or eyelid droops for a few weeks. Filler can occasionally leave small lumps or bring an infection, an allergic reaction or a cold-sore flare. Rarely, filler blocks a blood vessel, which can damage the skin or, very rarely, sight; very rarely, anti-wrinkle injections spread further, causing muscle weakness or trouble swallowing.

What aftercare do injectables need?

Usually very little, and it depends on the family. After filler, plan a quiet day: hard exercise, saunas and hot yoga can add to swelling and bruising in the first day. After anti-wrinkle injections there is little to change: an expert consensus found no evidence for the old advice to avoid exercise or flying. Contact us straight away, or get urgent medical care, if pain grows instead of easing, the skin turns pale, grey or blue, your vision changes, or swallowing or breathing becomes difficult.

Are injectables for men too, and is the plan different for a man's face?

Yes. Every family here is for men as well as women, chosen for the concern rather than for gender. The detail differs: men's facial muscles are, on average, larger, which the neuromodulator dose takes into account, and an expert consensus notes that in men, too much filler in the midface, or brows lifted too high, can make the face look more feminine, while a well-defined jawline tends to suit it. The aim is a face that looks rested and still looks like you.

What are injectables, and which kinds are used on the face?

Injectables are treatments given by injection rather than by a device or a cream, and on the face they come in six families, each with its own job. Neuromodulators relax a muscle and can soften movement lines; hyaluronic-acid fillers add volume and structure; biostimulators prompt your own collagen for gradual firmness; skin boosters hydrate the skin; regeneratives signal it to repair; and correctors dissolve hyaluronic-acid filler. Which one, if any, depends on what the doctor finds, not on the product you came asking for.

Which injectables help jowls, the jawline or marionette lines?

It depends on what has changed. A jawline that lacks definition can gain structure with hyaluronic-acid filler, and a jaw that looks wide from a strong chewing muscle can often look slimmer after a neuromodulator. Jowls are mostly loosened tissue, and filler does not tighten skin, so early jowls usually suit firming with Ultraformer MPT or Volnewmer instead. Marionette lines are a deep fold, the kind filler is used for; an expert consensus notes that in the lower face, filler combined with a neuromodulator did better than either alone.

Which injectables are used under the eyes?

It depends on what causes the shadow. A true hollow, the tear trough, can often be softened with a small amount of hyaluronic-acid filler placed deep; thin, crepey skin suits skin boosters or regeneratives such as polynucleotides, which improve its quality rather than fill it. Filler does not help puffy bags or dark circles from pigment, and too much gel, or gel placed too near the surface, can look puffy or bluish, which is why the doctor looks first.

Which injectables are used for the lips?

Hyaluronic-acid filler, in small amounts: it can define the border, add a little volume or even out the two sides, and it fades gradually over months. Because it can be dissolved, a result you don't like can usually be undone. Swelling and bruising are common and usually settle within a week or two; a blocked blood vessel is rare but serious. Lips are a particular focus for Dr. Daria Banina, who has developed her own technique for lip injections.
