What icoone Laser is for

Skin that has lost its tone after pregnancy or weight change, stretch marks, fluid retention, texture on the body that creams never reach — including skin too delicate for aggressive treatments.

How icoone Laser works

Motorised rollers with micro-holes draw the skin into thousands of tiny cells as they pass — up to 21,600 micro-stimulations a minute — so the connective tissue is worked point by point rather than dragged. A 915 nm laser adds gentle warmth in the deeper layers and a 650 nm LED works on the surface. The suction is fully adjustable, which is why it suits fragile skin.

A session, step by step

  1. We start with what you'd like to change and a look at the area, and go through your health, your veins and the medicines you take.
  2. You lie on the treatment bed. The suction and rhythm start low and are adjusted to what feels comfortable.
  3. The handpieces move over the area in slow, rhythmic passes, sometimes two at once on both sides, lifting the skin gently into their rollers while the laser and LED work: around 45 to 60 minutes for the body, 30 for the face.
  4. Afterwards, water and some light movement to help the drainage.

What to expect

How it feels

30 minutes for the face, 45–60 for the body. A relaxing deep-tissue massage with gentle suction, tuned to your tolerance.

Downtime

Usually none; mild redness can last a short while. Water and light movement afterwards help the drainage; that's the whole protocol.

How many sessions

A body course is typically 10–15 sessions, two to three a week at first; drainage courses run 6–10. Skin often looks smoother early on; the tone and texture change builds over the full course, then a session or two a month holds it.

Who it may not suit

We go through your health and medicines first, because icoone Laser may not suit you, or may need to wait, if any of these apply:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have had a blood clot in a vein or phlebitis, or you have varicose veins in the area: see the phlebologist first.
  • You have an infection, inflammation, a rash, a wound or broken skin in the area.
  • You bruise easily, have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medicine.
  • You have diabetes, heart failure or another serious heart or kidney condition, or high blood pressure or a thyroid condition that is not well controlled.
  • You have cancer or are being treated for it, you have had melanoma, or you have an unusual or changing mole.
  • You have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device.
  • You have taken medicines that make skin more sensitive to light in the past year, such as isotretinoin, tetracycline antibiotics or St John's wort, or you have epilepsy triggered by light.
  • You have an autoimmune condition such as lupus, scleroderma or vitiligo.
  • There is a tattoo or permanent make-up in the area.
  • You had surgery in the area in the last month, or a scar there is still inflamed.

Risks and side effects

Common and short-lived: some redness where the rollers have worked, which usually fades within a short while.

Less common: in a small study of icoone on the legs, three of 25 women noticed short-lived tingling, with a little swelling and more visible small veins in spots.

If the suction feels too strong, say so and it is turned down.

The research on suction-based massage is small and mostly of low quality, so rarer side effects are not well known. We keep the settings gentle and stop if anything feels wrong.

Aftercare

  • Drink water through the rest of the day, and more in the Dubai heat.
  • A walk or some light movement afterwards helps the drainage.
  • During Ramadan, an evening session after iftar means you can drink water afterwards.
  • Message us if any redness, tingling or swelling doesn't settle.

How pricing works

We don't publish prices. icoone is planned as a course, and the cost depends on the area and the number of sessions, which we agree together at the start. You know the full plan and its cost before you begin, and we suggest only the sessions your concern calls for.

Our take

icoone is precision bodywork — thousands of small stimulations in place of force — which is exactly why we use it on delicate skin.

Like all course-based body work, it rewards consistency and honesty about pace: the change is gradual and varies between bodies. If your concern would respond better to energy-based tightening, we'll route you there instead of selling you more sessions here.

Questions people ask

Can icoone remove stretch marks?

We don't promise that. Skin often looks smoother early on, and the change in tone and texture builds over the full course, but the research on icoone itself is small, so we'll tell you honestly how your skin is responding as we go.

Will icoone slim my legs?

It isn't a fat-loss treatment. In a small study of 25 women whose lower legs swelled after standing or exercise, ankle and calf measurements went down over a month of twice-weekly sessions, but a month after stopping the difference was no longer significant, and more than a quarter noticed no change in how their legs felt. That is why drainage is kept up with a session or two a month.

icoone or Endosphères?

Both are course-based bodywork. Endosphères uses rhythmic compression and vibration from a roller of silicone spheres, and suits cellulite, heavy legs and puffy contours. icoone works more finely, with gentle suction, laser and LED, which is why we choose it for skin that has lost its tone, for stretch marks and for delicate skin. Both help with fluid retention. We'll suggest the one that fits your concern, or neither, if energy-based tightening would serve you better.

Can I start after having a baby?

Yes: lost tone after pregnancy is one of the reasons people come. We start once you have finished breastfeeding, since studies of this kind of treatment leave out both pregnancy and breastfeeding, and after a caesarean we wait until the scar has fully healed.

Where can I have icoone in Jumeirah, and should it be a spa or a clinic?

With us at CREAMÉ, 350 Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 1, open every day from 9:00 to 21:00: we use icoone on the body and the face. It is wellness bodywork rather than a medical treatment, but icoone Laser combines suction with infrared laser light, which Dubai's standard for non-surgical cosmetic procedures keeps out of salons and other non-clinical settings, so choose a licensed health facility; there, what matters most is a check of your health, your veins and your medicines before the first session. Here, if you can see veins on your legs, or one leg swells more than the other, you see Dr. Marat Takoev, our phlebologist, first.

What can icoone do for the face, and is it a face lift?

On the face, icoone may ease puffiness for a while, and skin can look smoother over a course, though how much varies and the evidence is thin: the study we cite was on the legs. It isn't a face lift, or the energy-based skin tightening, such as Ultraformer MPT or Volnewmer, that we would suggest if sagging is your main concern. A session takes about 30 minutes, with the suction tuned to your comfort. A face that swells along with your ankles needs a doctor first.

Is icoone for men as well as women?

Yes. icoone is for men and women alike: the maker designs most of its programmes for both, and the session, the course and the downtime, usually none, are the same. The reasons can be the same too, from legs that feel heavy after long hours on your feet to stretch marks, which men get with weight change or fast muscle growth from weight training. As far as we know, so are the side effects, mainly short-lived redness, though the one study of icoone on the legs included only women.

How much does icoone cost per session?

We don't publish prices. The cost depends on the area, face or body, and on the number of sessions: usually 6 to 10 for drainage, and 10 to 15 for tone and texture on the body. We agree the plan together at the consultation, and you know the full plan and its cost before you begin. We suggest only the sessions your concern calls for, and a session or two a month afterwards only if you want to keep it up.

Can I have icoone during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Not with us: we start once you have finished breastfeeding, since studies of this kind of treatment leave out pregnancy and breastfeeding. Some swelling of the legs, ankles, feet and fingers is normal in pregnancy, often worse at the end of the day and in hot weather. A sudden increase in swelling of your face, hands or feet, a very bad headache, problems with your sight or severe pain just below the ribs needs your midwife or doctor straight away: it can be a sign of pre-eclampsia.

What are the side effects of icoone, and who should avoid it?

Usually mild and short-lived: redness where the rollers worked, usually fading within a short while. In a small study on the legs, three of 25 women had short-lived tingling, a little swelling and more visible small veins in spots; rarer effects are not well known. It isn't for you if, among other reasons, you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have varicose veins in the area, a past clot or phlebitis, diabetes, a heart or kidney condition, a pacemaker or cancer, or a caesarean scar that hasn't fully healed.

What is icoone used for, and what can it do for the legs and skin?

We use it for fluid retention and heavy legs, for tone lost after pregnancy or weight change, and for stretch marks, including on delicate skin. It may help legs feel lighter for a while: in a small study of women whose lower legs swelled after standing or exercise, six in ten said so after sessions, and a skin-testing device measured more elasticity after a month, though everyone also walked daily. On the skin, any change in tone and texture builds over a course and varies between bodies.

How often should I have icoone, and how long do results on the legs last?

Usually two to three sessions a week at first, over a drainage course of 6 to 10, then a session or two a month if you want to keep it up. The change on the legs is short-lived without upkeep: in the study of icoone on swollen lower legs, measurements were no longer significantly different a month after the last session, though about two-thirds of the women felt the improved look had held. The authors saw the most change in women under 40.

What aftercare does icoone need?

Very little, and it is the same after a body session or a facial: drink water through the rest of the day, more in the Dubai heat, and take a walk or some light movement to help the drainage. You can usually go straight back to your day, though some redness can last a short while. If you are fasting in Ramadan, an evening session after iftar means you can drink water afterwards. Message us if any redness, tingling or swelling doesn't settle.

Is icoone body contouring, and does it treat cellulite?

It isn't body sculpting in the sense of treatments aimed at fat: icoone is drainage-style bodywork that works on fluid, circulation and skin, so contours can look smoother as puffiness eases, but measurements tend to drift back once sessions stop. For cellulite, we know of no controlled trial of icoone. We suggest it for delicate skin, or for cellulite together with stretch marks or tone lost after pregnancy or weight change; otherwise Endosphères is usually our first suggestion, especially with heavy legs.

Will icoone help with weight loss or my stomach?

No: drainage moves fluid, not fat, and icoone isn't a weight-loss treatment. On the tummy, we use it for tone lost after pregnancy or weight change and for stretch marks: skin often looks smoother early on, and any change in tone builds over a course. A softer tummy after a birth is often partly the two long muscles down its middle, which usually come back together by about eight weeks after the birth; folds of loose skin after a large weight loss are a question for a surgeon.

Does lymphatic drainage really work?

Yes, in the sense that drainage massage is an established part of care for lymphoedema, a long-term condition that needs a specialist, alongside compression garments, skin care and exercise. As wellness bodywork, which is what we offer, the evidence is much thinner: it may ease a puffy face or help heavy legs feel lighter for a while, and it is usually well tolerated, but studies of suction massage are few and mostly of low quality. With a heart, kidney or vein condition, see a doctor first.
